Fallout 4 Officially Confirmed

Bethesda officially announced Fallout 4 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on Tuesday.

2877068-45102_1_1+(1)Fallout 4′s website, which went live at 7am PST, provides a look at the official trailer and box art, and also confirms the next-gen and PC platform restriction.

The trailer gives us a quick glimpse into the storied Fallout wasteland, panning out from an emergency broadcast signal to the decrepit insides of a ruined house. Flashbacks to pre-apocalyptic life flicker in and out, and we catch a glimpse of new monsters, bigger robots, and new hab towns in the aftermath of Boston. There may even be a pirate ship (fine, it’s the USS Constitution) and blimp in there.

Game director Todd Howard had the following to say regarding the development of Fallout 4:

“We know what this game means to everyone. The time and technology have allowed us to be more ambitious than ever. We’ve never been more excited about a game, and we can’t wait to share it.”

Be sure to check in at Bethesda’s June 14 (7 PM PST) E3 showcase, where more information will be revealed (Twitch and YouTube will provide overviews for those not attending). See the explosion that rocked the world in Fallout 4’s official announcement trailer!
