Homeworld‘s ground-level reboot is getting some new content today, in the form of ‘Soban Fleets‘. This DLC pack adds new vehicles for multiplayer and skirmish play, complete with those tasty morsels of realistic voice-acting Homeworld excels at. The Soban Fleet includes:
- Soban Carrier – complete with Armed Logistics Modules, Microwave Emitters and Defensive Railguns.
- Soban Battlecruisers with multi-phase railgun turrets.
- Soban Baserunners with targeting jammers
- Soban Railguns
- Voice acting for Soban’s Carrier Captain
- Soban textures for fleet units
I enjoyed my time with Deserts of Kharak, but I haven’t been back to it since. It’s unlikely non-story content will completely reel me back in, but it should tide over any folks still enjoying multiplayer skirmishes.
