Sony’s exclusive Killzone franchise is often praised for the quality of its multiplayer.  To draw in some new players, Sony will be releasing a free to play version of the multiplayer game on the PSN.  The download will be available on February 28th.

The game will ship with most of the content available for paid users.  There will, however, be a level cap and some of the perks will be locked. To keep progressing, players can pay a one time fee of 14.99 to unlock the full game.  If you aren’t interested in dropping fifteen bones, the game will still allow free players to play online against those who have bought the full game. All of the maps will be available.
