Okay, it’s officially listed as “Role-Play Gauntlet Replica”, but even then we still know what they mean. It’s understandable the blade cannot be marketed as such – a blade – so dancing around the term is necessary.
You can buy from Gamestop the same type of blade (or shank, rather) used by Ezio and Altaïr in the Assassin’s Creed games. The “Role-Play Gauntlet Replica” can be yours the day Assassin’s Creed 3 comes out, October 30th.

If it were metal it probably wouldn’t be legal to sell.
They tried but they failed on this. For one it’s plastic and more plastic. You have to use your other hand to bring the blade out, and put it back in to its locking position. Over all, this isn’t worth the money.
