CD Projekt’s The Witcher series stands as its crown jewel, with The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings being given near universal praise, standing at an 88 on Metacritic.
The third and final installment, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which promises a far more open world on next-gen systems, will be released in February 2015, rather than late 2014 as was previously announced.
According to CD Projekt (in this letter), the delay will help the development team achieve a higher quality finished project, which can only mean good things for the future of this game. That being said, it is disappointing to see a game of this caliber being delayed, even if it is only by a few months.
