Battlefield Hardline Experiencing Connection Issues Due to DDoS Attack

Battlefield Hardline players struggle with server issues as Xbox Live faces new DDoS attack.

A rocky start marked Battlefield Hardline‘s debut Tuesday night as players experienced server issues reportedly caused by a DDoS attack on Xbox Live.

A tweet by Electronic Arts indicates that the connection issue was made public around 8 PM PST, and that connection issues were only being experienced with the Xbox One servers. The reason for the server problems, at this point, had not been identified.

Electronic Arts then went on to tweet that a DDoS attack on the Xbox Live infrastructure was to blame, claiming they are attempting to resolve the issue while offering “Apologies for the inconvenience.”

At this time, the Battlefield Hardline publisher has yet to announce a third statement since 10 PM PST Tuesday night. Battlefield Hardline hit the shelves yesterday for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. Have you experienced any connection issues so far? We’d love to know!
