Step aside, Mad Max. There’s a new post-apocalyptic RPG coming to town, and its name is The Technomancer.
Set on Mars in what looks like a near distant future, the main character must face the perils of the Red Planet in order to escape his past and rebuild his future. By utilizing the “electric-focused powers of the Technomancers,” our central hero must confront the denizens of Mars, whether they be bandits, tribal warriors, the Secret Police, or any number of Mars’ natural inhabitants.
Brought to us from developer Spiders and due to launch in 2016 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, The Technomancer promises to feature dynamic crafting, companion management, and alternate endings based on in-game decisions. The “action-oriented gameplay” and four separate skill trees will affect the three different styles of fighting, and it’s up to players to maintain the skills and equipment of their tagalong NPCs.
