Resident Evil 7’s First DLC Is Already Out

If you’re a PS4 owner, you can play the new content now.

One week ago, Resident Evil 7 launched to pretty good review scores. Today, the game’s first batch of DLC is out now for those playing on PS4. Xbox One owners will have to wait until February 21st to get a few brand new scares out of the game.

The content includes a new story scenario involving everyone’s favorite Sewer Gator Clancy, a survival mode that tasks the player with enduring round after round of enemies, and a brutal mode called “Ethan Must Die,” a tough as nails game type where items are randomized and there are no checkpoints.

I’ve played around with some of the DLC myself, and I think it’s worth the $10 asking price in terms of quality. However, if you’re not invested in the gameplay it might not be for you as any story content is relatively light. Don’t expect any answers to the lingering questions you might have.

For those of you who do pick it up: Enjoy.
