Tropical Freeze comes to the Nintendo Switch, this May.

During this morning’s hotly anticipated Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced that the Wii U’s Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze would be getting a port to the Switch.

The updated version adds one additional Kong, in the form of Funky Kong, who can use his surf board to move much quicker through levels and avoid damage to spikes.

Tropical Freeze for the Wii U currently sits at an 83 on Metacritic, so while certainly a good score, it definitely has room to improve.

Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze comes to the Nintendo Switch on May 4th. No price has been announced.

No word on why the hell we aren’t getting Donkey Kong Country Returns.
